Frequently Asked Questions
What is CPanel?
CPanel is used to administer the individual domains.
From CPanel, you can create email accounts, setup FTP
users and databases as well as utilise the varied
scripts available.
How do I create email accounts for my domain(s) ?
Email accounts for the individual domains are created
through CPanel. Please use the related guide here.
How do I ftp into my account to upload my files ?
When you initially sign up and are setting
up/transferring your domain name you can use the IP
provided with your account as the ftp address.
The FTP username and password are those that you created
when setting up the domain in WHM. They are the same
login details used to login to your CPanel for the
domain.
Upload all files to the public_html directory except cgi
scripts, which go in the cgi-bin directory.
Once the domain is pointing to our DNS server you can
log into ftp using ftp.yourdomainname.com.
How do I access Fantastico ?
The Fantastico Control Panel can be accessed using the
Fantastico button in your CPanel.
How do I access my email ?
There are two methods for accessing email from your
account once you have created a mail account. One is to
setup up your email client (e.g. Outlook Express). In
the Mail Server Name field you should use,
yourdomainname.com/webmail
What do I use as the incoming and outgoing mail
servers?
Please use mail.yourdomainname.com for both incoming and
outgoing mailservers.
I can't send any emails through the SMTP mailserver
Please check that SMTP authorization is ticked in your
email client. For Outlook Express users, go to Tools -->
Accounts --> Properties of the appropriate account -->
Service and at the bottom of that, tick "My Server
requires Authentication"
Why does my email return the error '-ERR You have
exceeded the number of connections you are permitted to
make per hour. Please wait a couple of minutes and try
again.'?
Emails can only be checked once each 5 minutes if you
are using an email client Outlook Express.
I am getting the error "Relaying Denied" or " 553
sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts
(#5.7.1)" when I try to send mail through my email
program
Please see the answer above.
I am receiving a "The connection to the server has
failed. Account: '', Server: 'mail.yourdomainname.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E" error when attempting
to send emails.
The error you are receiving indicates that it is a Port
25 problem, where your ISP is blocking the use of
external mail servers, or port 25.
You may wish to you contact your ISP and check whether
they have recently started doing this as many ISPs are
now blocking the usage of port 25 to stop spam being
sent from their servers. If they do restrict usage of
external mail servers to send emails, you will need to
use their mailserver name as the outgoing smtp
mailserver in your email client for this email account.
It will still appear as coming from the domain but will
be using your ISP mailserver to send instead.
How can I stop people from using my website to send
spam email ?
Please do not use any formail.pl or formail.cgi scripts
to send results from webpages to email. Please find
another script/method to send results from a webpage to
email or better yet, send form results to the server and
retrieve them from there. We have very strict policies
on Spam email, it is your responsibility to ensure that
your account is secure and to report any suspect
activity to Support.
We would advise using the PHPFormmail available at the
following location - http://www.boaddrink.com/projects/phpformmail/
Can I send email lists?
If you wish to send out an email list either through our
servers, or through another server, that has links

the expected size the list will be and the frequency
